Amber Swann Publishing Inc proudly displays what our loyal VALUED family of readers have to say about our original soap drama...

"Beauty of A Man & Woman Ms. Keyes you have a fan for life. I love this soap. It's satisfies on so many levels. I read the first chapter and I had to purchase a membership to find out what happened next and I must say I haven't been disappointed. The way you keep me hungering for more of Sylvia and Shawn, Jake and Viv amazes me. I never dreamed I could get hooked on an ebook, but I am. Keep the good work and keep feeding us more of Shawn and Sylvia."

"Beauty of a Man and a Woman this is a great series. It pulls you in from the very beginning from that point you're hooked. Shawn is an all out alpha male. He'll have you cheering for him one minute and wanting to take his head off the next. Ms. Keyes writes with sooooo much passion. Her characters are so true to life just everyday people with issues that we all go through at some point in time. Oh! Syliva I love her but sometimes she makes me want to scream, you have to read it to understand. I must say once you get started you will not be able to stop. Jake and Vivian have my interest at the moment can't wait to see what will happen next. I would recommend BMW to anyone that enjoys reading romance novels. You have everything that makes for a great read..I think every emotion possible you feel at some point while reading BMW..I would like to thank Ms. Keyes sharing her talents with us."

Dear Mercedes,

".......I stumbled onto your site by accident and have been so rewarded by a wonderful story. I laughed myself into tears the first time I read your first 4 episodes of 'The Beauty of Man and Woman'.  I have re-read the 'naked and the bat' section at least 3 times and emailed my sister with your site) and my neighbors, as remote as they are, have to think that I need committing! It is very easy in the country to hear gaffawing in the quiet! The chainsaw was particularly familiar living in this remote area.
This is such a heart warming story and so close to my heart. I am a woman of color also, with a rainbow family and heritage.  I appreciate that although race is an issue in today's society, that your story depicts much more than that. You don't skirt the issue but tackle the more important stuff. Love for another and for self.  Your heroine truly depicts inner strength, with your her willingness to stick to her vows in a marriage and not try to change her husband, but to change herself. In her newly forming relationship she is staying true to the character that you have written, although in her position I would find it very, very difficult to resist your charming hero!!!) lol!

Keep up the good work and I look forward to much more.  Soon??  hint, hint....  :-))

Sincerely, LaVerne

Dear Ms. Keyes,

Great Story...

I don't want to finish the story of Sylvie and Shawn because it's so tender as well as passionate. I can't wait for the other chapters to finish to find out if Sylvie can shed her fear of intimacy and experience love with Shawn.
Very funny, tender, and sexy story.

Great Writing...

I just finished reading The Beauty of Man and Woman and I love it! The characters came alive for me and the story is original.

I hope you get the story published because it is as good or even better as any other interracial novel out now.

I have a few questions:
What gave you the idea for this story?
What is your inspiration for writing?
When are you continuing the story? B/c when you do I want to be notified :)
What advice would you give to an inspiring writer?

Your story is such an inspiration to people considering an interracial relationship or are in one.
I thank you for answering my questions and thank you for writing the story because you have made my life better by doing so.

My advice you is don't ever stop writing because you really make a difference.

Dkaliena

(Of course I answered her personally and on the site as well... M. Keyes)

"The Beauty of a Man and Woman" is one of the best romance and I/R series I have ever read! There is no doubt that Mrs. Keyes knows how to tug at your heart strings and make you laugh out loud within the same page.

From the first time you meet Sylvia Payne and Shawn McPherson, you know they are meant to be, no matter how hard Sylvia tries to deny her attraction for him.  And Shawn is a force to be reckoned with!  The two of them take an amazing journey through the waters of love, making some mistakes along the way, but always finding each other in the end.

Also, along for the ride are Sylvia and Shawn's family and friends. They range from the sweet and loving to crazy and deranged.  I think we can all find a character that we know or can relate to in this series. Realizing you have to trust and just let go like Jake and Vivian, or that your spouse can be your best friend like Sheila and Dennis, or knowing what it's like to be young, confused, and in love like Crystal and Victor.

This series pulls you in from the start and and doesn't let go. Reading BMW has now become my favorite pastime. Thank you Mercedes!

Where to begin my obsession with the online soap opera Beauty of a Man and Woman? I discovered this refreshing story quite by accident. I had begun to search out interracial romance stories, and was at an individual booklist on Amazon.com. Ms. Keyes Webster Fields stories were mentioned, as well as her online soap.

I was curious, so I went to the site, and began reading Shawn and Sylvia's tale. After the first few episodes, I was hooked! I began reading the series during my lunch hour at work, but then forgot about the series due the my work schedule. I hadn't thought to access the site from home, because I really didn't have any time.

A few months later, the series was mentioned again on the IMRR group, so I went to see how the story progressed. I wasn't able to access it initially, until it was mentioned that you needed to subscribe to the site before accessing the series. I subscribed immediately, and have been a loyal BOMW fan ever since!

I just love how real these characters are: They love, they fear, they laugh and cry. Shawn may be a little domineering, but it's a part of his upbringing and he doesn't apologize for that. Sylvia can be a little self-absorbed, but you begin to see how her life experiences have made her that way.

I really like these two together, since they balance out each other in some weird way. Shawn still needs to be nurtured, in a sense, and Sylvia needs a strong male presence in her life. I also like how their coming together filled in the parental gaps missing in their children's lives.

What can I say? I just really love this series, and can't wait to see some of the exciting things coming down the road! Oh yeah, let's not forget about the various side stories that could easily stand alone. Jake and Vivian, Victor and Crystal, Deirdre and Jeremiah, Shanna and John......

Need I say more?

Dear Ms. Keyes,

I wanted you to know that I stumbled across your web page and read The Beauty of Man and Woman. Truly, I fell in love with Everette and Sylvia. You have a wonderful gift for writing. I wanted to know if I could order a copy of the novel Aphrodisiac. I read the first chapter and I just have to finish it. Where do you find inspiration for your novels? Your poetry is very beautiful. Are you currently in an interracial marriage or because of your ethnicity, you decided to focus on interracial relationships? Please let me know if that was a personal question! I hope that your works do become more recognized because you have a great talent for writing. Please let me know how I can obtain a copy of Aphrodisiac. Hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,
Renee Brown

I cannot stop reading this story, I have been up many nights, until the early hours of the morning reading it.  It is fantastic.  At last a proper inter-racial story.  First of all, it is nice to have a black heroine, who is feminine, yes she is strong, but she is still very delicate, she is not hard and bitter, like some many black heroines, you read about.  Secondly I find that two many heroines have a one night stand after they met the male character, wild sex, then the characters fall in love, which does not make sense. With this one, Shawn has to court Sylvia and she thinks a lot of herself.  Well Done Mercedes! I am looking forward to the next Series. Also with Shawn, he tries to be a decent fellow, despite what he has done in the past he tries.

Thank you and even for me, it has given me hope!

Hi Mercedes,

I just came across your webb page and started reading "The Beauty of Man and Women", girl all I have to say is please finish give me more this is a great romance story.  Just the kind I like I can not waite till you write some more.

A new fan and friend Tammy.

Hi,

I read four of your books and most of your drama on your webpage. I got to say you are a very good write and I like your website. However, I do not like your storylines how the people are disfunctional and the men sex addicts. I do not like all the problems that keep happening in your stories. I love interracial romances books and stories BUT NOT YOURS DUE TO DEPRESSING THINGS THAT HAPPENS IN THEM. WHY ARE ALL THE CHILDREN BORN TO THE INTERRACIAL COUPLES IN YOUR STORIES TURN OUT TO WHITE AND NOT BLACK OR LIGHT SKINED. DO YOU HATE BLACK OR SOMETHING BECAUSE BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. NOT ALL BIRRACIAL CHILDERN IN REAL LIFE ARE WHITE SKIN! READING YOUR STORIES SHOW TO ME THAT YOUR FAVOR WHITE INSTEAD OF BLACK AND YOUR PREFER YOUR BIRACIAL CHILDREN CHARACTERS WHITE THAN BLACK. ANYWAY. I CAN NOT READ YOUR STORIES ANYMORE I JUST DEAL WITH THE MALE CHARACTERS HAVING SEX WITH ANYTHING IN SKIRTS AND THE FEMALES CHARACTER NOTHING BUT IDIOTS, WEAK MINDED AND WANTING SEX SO BAD!

*Sigh* - Here is a perfect example to show that you most certainly cannot please everyone. In reply, Beauty of Man and Woman is a soap -:DRAMA:- In it - and the other things I write, is a reflection of life as I've always known it to be. While I do write fiction, its not fairytale fiction! Dysfunctional people story lines and men that are addicted to sex? - Problems keep popping up? - LIFE - in the real world! All the men I've been acquainted with, exhibited similar qualities in that they LOVED sex! Addicted to it? Maybe... testosterone rich, healthy men usually are. Point is, that's what I write, because its what I know. Sorry about that sweetheart. All I can promise is that at some point, an happy ending is shinning like a light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Quoted Question: "WHY ARE ALL THE CHILDREN BORN TO THE INTERRACIAL COUPLES IN YOUR STORIES TURN OUT TO WHITE AND NOT BLACK OR LIGHT SKINED. DO YOU HATE BLACK OR SOMETHING BECAUSE BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. NOT ALL BIRRACIAL CHILDERN IN REAL LIFE ARE WHITE SKIN!"

Answer: In Webster Fields - Mike and Hope were made as they are because they came from a blonde white father and multi-cultural (black) mother. Genetically speaking, the father under those circumstances will often have the strongest pull. Thus the reason we have so many white persons who haven't a clue that their origins are black! Also, in order for the story to work as it did, it called for them to look as they did. All part of the drama. As for Sylvia's grandsons - they simply are inspired by my own. Who in looks, don't look as if they have a black mother. Having said that, does that mean I don't like black? Excuse me - but - if I'm not mistaken - are not my main female characters ... um ... hmmm ... let me think about this long and hard...

-> BLACK?!?!? <-

What more can I say?
What I write, me - being a black woman,
inspired by many other black women whom I positively adore,
I accept that what I write, will NOT - be satisfactory to all!
So  you'll have to forgive me if I continue on writing what I know.
Those who like it - will...
those who don't - well - they'll be like you - Gone!

Hello Madam Keyes ,

Big fan (fan sounds strange but that's what I am ) and notorious lurker jannabee just checking to say I am EXCITED about the new episodes coming up and that the new website looks great! .....  I look forward to the new episodes they make my week!!  I have already re-read all the previous ones and I enjoy how rich and alive your characters are. You have become a gold standard for all my I R  reading. I compare many  authors to you and I think things like oh this female lead is too weak or too strong or they are just too difficult to relate too and the situations are not believable even for fiction. By the way I just finished reading the entire Webster trilogy - I cried so much and laughed just as much it was the best I've read. Thank you for a great story and for all your hard work I know it is a labor of love. It shines right through. Well this was way too lengthy I have got to post more often :)

Thank you again   jannabee

Hi Mercedes and Laz,

I just wanted to let you I've really enjoyed reading BOMAW (probably too much, more on that later). When I hit the lottery I'm going to help you guys startup the Amber Swan Network cable channel featuring BOMAW as the flagship show. Really this should be on somebody's t.v. channel. Just too damn good not to be. Episode 63, Mundo had me quietly sobbing so as not to wake my son and husband. I mean boo-hooing it up!! To hell with Young and Restless, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives...This should be "must see T.V.!

Now that I'm all caught up I'm kinda mad, cuz while I can participate in the discussions, I got to wait for episode 64 just like everybody else, dammit! LOL!

So this is how I think you can tell you got it real bad for BOMAW: You might be a BOMAW addict if:

10. Y've stopped watching some of your favorite t.v. soaps `cuz you too busy reading. Who gives a damn who killed Carmen?! She got off easy for pushing up on Dru's husband anyway!
9. You're trying to figure out how to get you azz to Wisconsin, quick!!!
8. Your co-workers are looking at you like you got three heads after lunch `cuz your eyes are all red and puffy after eating your lunch at your desk and reading the latest installment.
7. Your husband is looking at you like you got three heads `cuz again your eyes are red and puffy after reading the latest installment.
6. You look at men in cowboy boots and flannel shirts in a different light.
5. You get an ATTITUDE if you have to work versus reading the latest installment. And you work on commission and business has been real slow.
4. You get an ATTITUDE if you have to do any housework or attend social functions with your husband `cuz you'd rather be on-line reading.
3. You can't count the number of times each Gert, Jake, Sheila, Dennis, Meribel and Mundo had you thinking "No he/she didn't"
2. You CAN count the number of times each of the aforementioned had you thinking "No he/she didn't… and you use the numbers to play your weekly lottery.
1. After reading about the `broom closet' you make sure you child is asleep so you can wake your husband UP!

Peace, T.

The Beauty of Man and Woman or in its shortened version name, Bomaw is...

"Outstanding! Stunning! Gripping! Surprising! Shocking! Breath-taking! Addictive! Unpredictable!"

I found this amazing drama series by combing the internet looking for interracial romances to read. I'd exhausted my supply, was waiting on the delivery of books ordered from Amazon, and thought, I need something to read and was willing to do an ebook maybe or take in a free short story written, if I could find one. Couldn't find anything in the search engines so I went browsing through Amazon and looked under suggested reads, and spotted the one place I hadn't been, that I kept saying I would check out and never seemed to do it. This day I did it, amberswann.com. Which led me to Bomaw. I haven't been quite the same since. Confession time! I resented having to subscribe. Yes, I did. I thought, why should have to pay for this, "regardless of the reasonable charge"? Then I noted the purchase of the trilogy for a three year sub, so I felt a bit better about doing it. I purchased the tril, received my login information and decided I would read the tril first since it cost a bit. That trilogy was this first indication that I was onto a different kind of writer, with a different insight of people and relationships. Yes, I'll be doing a Webster Fields review later. Flabbergasted by Princess Ces'alena, Gold Raven and then Family Reunion, I took a break to take it all in. Digest it, sort of speak. A week later, I had an entire week off from work and decided to start the online drama. WHY IS THERE NO WARNING FOR THIS DRAMA???

{ Warning Addictive! Warning Addictive! Warning Addictive!}

There, you've been warned. If you are not into being addicted, dependent, your mind and emotions sent on an endless ride of waves and adrenaline. DO NOT READ HERE! James & Keyes, their writing, their stories you will find hidden within, a HOOK! Why? Because they givin' you what you need to read baby! Sweet sweet sweet quality, relistic, interracial literature! That's right, LITERATURE, steak, meat, something that gets caught in your teeth and you can't get it out. Driving you crazy. Like where they sometimes leave you at the end of an episode and you must WAIT for the next. That last episode hangs in your head, like that piece of meat, nagging you, lodged there between two tight teeth, until you find something to pick it out. In the case of Bomaw? The next episode is the toothpic. It feels good when you get it out. Then you sit down and enjoy another delicious savory, juicy steaming, just right cooked steak, and you're right back to looking for that t-pic again. Is it worth the subscription payment? HELL YEAH! And then some!

James & Keyes, you have a fan, for life! Keep serving it up please.

O.K., I recently found your website and  OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I thought that I had been reading excellent I/R with the authors I have been reading, but you leave them  in the dirt. -  "... I applaud your realism when dealing with the issues that are always quite evident when you live in a small town..."  -  "... Keep up the awesome work and if you could maybe fast forward to say the date of March 31st that would be great!!!

                                                                                                    LOL, Monique

Ms Keyes,

"... Since subscribing in 2006, I've read the trilogy and Aphrodisiac.  I am an avid reader of romance and IR novels, in particular.  Having read hundreds of books, I can say that your work ranks among the very best.

I can hardly wait to get my username and password. I look forward to catching up with Shawn and Sylvia on their trip to California.

God bless you and your family."

Sincerely,

"... you are without a doubt the biggest best kept secret that needs to be shared! James & Keyes, or, Ms. Keyes, Mr James I need you two to know that nothing is as riveting as this drama series with these characters that you've created. I am blown away by it all. You make me sigh, laugh, cry, dream, imagine, and want more. So much more. Please I beg you, don't ever stop this incredible drama series. There is truly nothing like it on the internet or TV, period! This is definitely what I call, quality IR reading. I haven't read your other works yet but if this drama series is anything to go by, I don't know what I'm waiting for. Thing is, bomaw is so good, I fear that my standard has risen and nothing will quite satisfy me the same again.

Never stop James & Keyes!

Best Regards, a fan forever!
